When Covid changed our world forever, our church had to re-imagine what a safe distribution of the sacrament of communion might look like. One of our deacons came across a couple packages of these thankful-grateful cups in a Marshall's store after Thanksgiving last year and thought they might be perfect for our needs. And indeed they are! We put a plump red grape and small piece of bread into each cup to symbolize the host and our congregation comes forward to take a Thankful-Grateful Communion Cup back to their pews. When all are settled, the words of the Last Supper are then shared in community - in communion with God and one another. Simply beautiful. We reuse the cups - they are so sturdy! The only problem (which is not a problem at all!) we are having is that people love the cups and are bringing them home, placing them on their desks or on their kitchen windowsills to remind them of the many blessings in their lives. We are thankful and grateful that we could order more directly from My Mind's Eye! Little cups with a mighty big message!
