A Thanksgiving Table Made for Gathering
Harvest
A table made for gathering
Rachel is a mama of three little ones, and she wanted a Thanksgiving table that looks beautiful but still feels easy to sit down at. She set our Harvest turkey plates on a ticking stripe cloth with woven chargers, pears and fall leaves, then added a little cottage charm.
The moment
Beautiful, but easy to sit down at
The turkey plates were the starting point. Rachel layered them over our rust ric rac plates on woven chargers, tucked wooden forks beside each setting and ran a basket of pears, pinecones and copper leaves down the middle of the table. A gold pheasant keeps watch, and a plate of chocolate donuts waits on the gingham.
classic beauty, a little cottage charm
Over on the counter, a candle burns next to a turkey shaped cake dusted with sugar, with a stack of turkey napkins ready for whoever wanders in first. It is put together without being fussy, which is exactly the point.
I don’t want a table so over-the-top that you don’t feel comfortable gathering around it.
