Host a hauntingly fun outdoor dinner party!

Halloween is a little different year, we are all trying to keep the joy of Halloween for our families while also keeping them safe! So why not start a new tradition this Halloween that is sure to delight all the little witches and wizards in your life and throw a backyard dinner party.

We set this dinner up in our marketing directors backyard. She has lots of trees to hang party fans and witches hats from but if you don't we found the perfect solution for you! Photography backdrop stands are inexpensive and can be easily found on Amazon or other similar sites. Here is a photo where you can see our set up! It's a great investment if you love throwing parties, not only can you string things above a table but you can also use it for photo back drops at birthdays with fun photo props.

For the table we started with a black tablecloth and some black cheese cloth layered for texture. Next we ran 2 of our sewn crepe paper banners across the table. We set each place setting with our orange square plates and set our cat plates on top! We finished off each place setting with these cute napkins and reusable black and white straws

Let's add our desserts to the table! Two cakes topped with our alphabet cake toppers (you can spell anything but we went with boo and eek) and in the center a tiered tray with hot pumpkin cider (recipe below) in our Halloween Cozy Cups and cupcakes in our Halloween baking cups

Next we surrounded the cake stands with pumpkins, gourds and branches. We added candles sticks for height and lighting!

Voila! It's the perfect setting for a Halloween dinner.

We made it even more fun by picking up an inexpensive fog machine to add a little more mystery!

To spice up the evening we made Pumpkin Cider! It's a cozy way to warm up as the night gets cooler. Here is what you need:

Pumpkin Cider

15oz can of pumpkin

1/2 cup of apricot nectar

5 cups of apple cider

2.5 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

1/4 cup of sugar

cinnamon sticks to garnish

Whip-cream

Combine and whisk all ingredients in a pot and heat until boiling. Turn down and simmer for 20 minutes. You can serve it hot or let it cool and serve cold. Pour in cups and top with whip-cream and cinnamon sticks!

Our 8 oz Cozy Cups are the perfect size for serving this drink since it's very rich!

As the light faded on our dinner we took down the fans, handed out blankets, and lit the candles. With hot drinks, cozy blankets and warm lighting you'll create family memories you'll always cherish and no one will want the night to end!
