The story
Two studios, one haunted house
Maren Baxter's poetic paper worlds have enchanted millions. Our studio has spent 25 years turning paper into celebrations. When the two finally met, the result was inevitable: a haunted house where every ghost waves hello, drawn by Maren's hand and brought to life in heavyweight paperboard, gold foil, and fairy lights you set gently between the layers.
I'm so excited to partner with My Mind's Eye, and I think we have created something truly amazing together. It's just the start of the journey, and there's so much more to come.

Good questions
The haunted house, answered
What is the Haunted Paper House?
A light-up Halloween statement piece, 16 inches wide by 16 inches tall, made of layered heavyweight paperboard with gold foil accents. It folds flat when the season ends, so unfolding it becomes a tradition year after year.
How does it light up?
Fairy lights come in the box with it, separate from the house rather than fixed inside it. That is on purpose, so you decide which windows glow brightest and how the whole house reads on your mantel. They run on a 6-hour timer, so once you've placed them the house lights itself each evening.
How do I set up the lights?
Unfold the house first and stand it where you want it. Then set the strand gently between the paper layers, working the lights toward the windows you want lit. Take your time and don't force the strand into a tight fold, since the paperboard is layered. Once the lights are placed, switch them on and the timer takes over: about 6 hours of glow each evening, then off on its own until the next night.

Where else can I find it?
A handful of independent boutiques carry the collaboration alongside us, and we love seeing it on their shelves. It was never a wide release though, and the first run is limited, so if you want one for this Halloween it's worth grabbing while it's here.
